Santo Domingo,.- The Second Collegiate Tribunal of Santo Domingo Este sentenced a woman to 30 years in prison for ramming three other women with her vehicle, one of whom died, in an incident that occurred in 2024 in the Los Arqueanos de Villa Mella neighborhood, Santo Domingo Norte, it was reported this Tuesday.

The events occurred on the morning of December 22, 2024, while the three women were walking together towards their residences, on Emma Balaguer street in the Los Arqueanos neighborhood, in Villa Mella, and were hit by the vehicle that Medina Ramírez was driving at high speed. The day before, the defendant had threatened them with death, alleging that Liriano González was pregnant by her partner, according to a statement from the Public Ministry. The report from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences reveals that Rodríguez Vicente died from internal bleeding and multiple blunt force trauma, while Liriano González, six weeks pregnant, suffered polytrauma with cranial, thoracoabdominal pelvic components; and Liz Caroline Mateo suffered thoracoabdominal trauma and trauma to the right lower limb.
