Stephora’s lawyers deem the coercion insufficient and demand the inclusion of college directors
Santiago. – The lawyers of the family of the minor Stephora Anne-Mircie Joseph, Miguel Valdemar Díaz and Shesnel Calcaño, described as insufficient the coercive measure imposed on the employees of the Da Vinci School, considering that the “true directors” were excluded from the process, despite what they describe as a chain of negligence that culminated in the death of the 11-year-old girl during a school excursion.
Legal experts pointed out that the tragedy originated in the organization of an activity without safety protocols and with companions who, they claim, were not trained to handle risky situations. Therefore, they insisted that criminal responsibility should also extend to the administrators of the educational center.
Earlier, legal representatives filed a complaint and a new request for coercive measures against the school’s directors and the owners of the estate where the incident occurred. They indicated that experts certified that the place did not have the minimum conditions to receive children, which increased the vulnerability of the group of students.
After learning of the court’s decision, Stephora’s family reiterated that they will not rest until “the true perpetrators face justice” and stated that they will continue to promote all necessary legal actions to prevent the case from going unpunished.
