Haina, San Cristóbal.– Amidst the complaints being investigated by the authorities regarding alleged mistreatment of minors at the Fundación Restaurando Vida, “A Dead Man Who Revives”, a 17-year-old teenager came to the defense of Pastor Ángel Gabriel Capellán and asserted that during the time he remained at the facility, he never received mistreatment nor lacked food.
The young man explained that he arrived at the foundation when he was 13 years old and stated that during his time there he received food and good treatment. His testimony joins the voices of members of the community and the congregation who have rejected the accusations against Capellán and assert that the institution has served as support for people in vulnerable conditions.
These statements come as the Public Prosecutor’s Office maintains an investigation for alleged physical and psychological abuse and forced labor to the detriment of minors, following the rescue of 13 children.

The case remains under investigation and the version offered by the teenager contrasts with the allegations contained in the request for coercive measures presented by the Public Prosecutor’s Office against Capellán and another defendant. The hearing to hear said request is scheduled for this Thursday, September 3, in San Cristóbal.
