Santiago de los Caballeros.— The silence of the relatives and the questions surrounding his death keep the case of Carlos López, found lifeless inside an apartment in a residential complex in the Las Dianas sector, in Santiago, under a veil of mystery.
López, who was the father of Carla María López, an 18-year-old young woman reported missing in the municipality of Tenares, Hermanas Mirabal province, was found dead under circumstances that are being investigated by the authorities.
Although the hypothesis of a possible suicide has been raised preliminarily, this version has not been officially confirmed, so the authorities will have to establish, through investigations and forensic studies, what really happened.
The case takes on an even more disturbing dimension due to the disappearance of his daughter, whose whereabouts remain unknown. People close to him claim that López was going through moments of worry and anguish over the young woman’s situation.
While they waited for the body to be released from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) in Santiago to be transported to Tenares, his relatives, including Luis Rafael, the father of the deceased, avoided speaking with the media.
