New routes and increased frequencies
Collado informed that the airline Air Caraïbes will open a direct flight between Paris and Samaná, considered historic due to the relevance of this destination in the French market, especially in Las Terrenas, where a large community of French people resides. In addition, the same airline will increase three weekly frequencies to Punta Cana starting in December. The minister also confirmed the resumption of Air France flights, which will resume operations to the Dominican Republic in the winter season with three weekly frequencies to Punta Cana. “These announcements are a great support for our country and consolidate the confidence of French tourism in our destination,” he affirmed.Positive balance at the fair
The official explained that the Dominican delegation has held more than 600 business meetings during the first day of the fair, the largest number recorded so far, thanks to the active participation of private companies in the tourism sector. “Top Resa is a job fair, a business fair. Hoteliers and new investors are satisfied with the contacts made here. The Dominican stand remains one of the most visited and we represent our country with dignity, respect and transparency,” said Collado.Projections for the end of 2025
Collado announced that the Ministry of Tourism will continue to strengthen air connectivity in strategic markets, especially in the United States and Latin America. He announced presentations at the WTM London fair in November and promotional events in Chile, Brazil, Argentina and in the state of New York. Official projections indicate that the Dominican Republic will close 2025 with around 11.5 million visitors, a record figure in the history of national tourism. In addition, Collado assured that, if the Russian market reopens, the flow could exceed these estimates, recalling that before the war the country received 500 thousand Russian tourists and 100 thousand Ukrainians per year.Personal Balance and Future Vision
Looking ahead to his birthday, Collado reflected on his political and public career, recalling his time as a deputy, mayor of the National District, and now as Minister of Tourism. “I feel satisfied, with the genuine feeling of duty fulfilled.
