Santo Domingo.- The Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre) began this Friday the sale of 1,730,000 pounds of chicken at 55 pesos per 16 ounces, through the different programs executed by the organization.
“We began receiving 32 containers of frozen chickens that will be sold whole in the Ruta Alimentaria programs, Mobile Bodegas, Producer Markets, and in the fairs in which we plan to participate,” said in a note the director of Inespre, David Herrera Díaz.You may be interested in: Minister denies chicken shortage: “There is enough”
He maintained that the initiative is part of the projects that the organization is carrying out with a view to providing food at affordable prices to the population. Similarly, he stated that with the sale of the product they also combat speculation that may occur with the price of white meat. The director of Inespre explained that the sale of the nearly 2 million pounds of chicken is carried out “thanks to the support” he has received from President Luis Abinader, who, according to him, has been emphatic in pointing out the importance of the sale of food by eliminating intermediation prices. Herrera Díaz urged the population to be attentive to Inespre’s social media, where the places where food sales programs are carried out are published daily.
