Dominican Juan Luis Guerra and his emotional moment with Rosalia
Rosalía was honored with the Billboard Hall of Fame Award at the 2026 Billboard Latin Music Awards on Thursday night (October 22). Dominican star Juan Luis Guerra presented her with the award.

“Juan Luis, I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the enormous, incredible honor it is for me to receive this from your hands. You, who are a master of masters, your songs have made me cry, they have made me dance, they have made me feel alive. I am in shock with this and I will never forget this moment,” said the Spanish singer-songwriter during her acceptance speech.

“I would not be able to do what I do if it weren’t for artists before me who have paved the way; he is one of them whom I admire so much. Celia Cruz, Rocío, Vicente Fernández, Daddy Yankee. It is incredible to be receiving this today. Last but not least, thank you to Latin America for giving me the place you have given me, for all these years of inspiration and teaching, and I hope to keep finding ways to give back all that love and generosity. For many more years, thank you!”
The Billboard Hall of Fame Award, first presented to Selena Quintanilla in 1995, celebrates “an extraordinary career defined by musical innovation, a unique artistic vision, and an influence that has transcended genres, languages, and borders,” according to a statement.
