Yiyo Sarante confirmed for the “Alofoke at the Agganis” show
Santo Domingo, RD.- The acclaimed Dominican salsa singer Yiyo Sarante has been officially confirmed as part of the artistic cast of the concert “Alofoke at the Agganis”, which will be held on February 28, 2026, at the Agganis Arena in Boston, Massachusetts.
Considered one of the most important exponents of modern salsa in the Dominican Republic and the diaspora, Yiyo Sarante returns to a stage of Alofoke Media Group after his outstanding but brief participation at the Prudential Center in 2024. On that occasion, his performance was limited to only three songs due to time constraints, leaving the audience wanting more.
During Yiyo’s presentation on Thursday night at La Casa de Alofoke, the CEO of Alofoke Media Group, Santiago Matías, expressed that this performance by the artist at the Agannis will be very special, as he will have the space and time necessary to fully connect with his diaspora audience by performing his successful discography in a format never seen before, something that was not possible at the Prudential.
“On that occasion Yiyo arrived late to New Jersey, the man even took a private plane, performed 3 songs, due to the time and the audience could not enjoy this great artist that the Dominican Republic has given birth to and has forged from scratch, he is one of the most anticipated artists. This time the audience will be able to enjoy him as he deserves,” affirmed Matías.
The event, scheduled for February 28, 2026, which sold out its tickets in just four days after going on sale, will be held in a nightclub format, with the audience standing around a central stage, and without traditional seating, generating a more intimate and energetic experience for the 8,000 people who will attend.
Yiyo Sarante thus joins the concert lineup alongside the reggaeton legend, singer and songwriter Arcángel, the first confirmed artist.
In the coming months, Santiago Matías announced that the names of those who will complete this historic production will be revealed, which serves as a retribution to the Dominican diaspora that so supports the productions of Alofoke Media Group.
