Bogota, Jun 21.- Businesswoman Ana Lucia Pineda, a business administrator from the Caribbean department of Cordoba, will be the next first lady of Colombia if the victory of far-right candidate Abelardo de la Espriella in this Sunday’s presidential elections is confirmed in the vote count.
n” “nBorn in Montería, capital of Córdoba, and educated at the British School in that city, Pineda studied Business Administration at the Javeriana University in Bogotá, where she began to build a career linked to business management and entrepreneurship.
n” “nHis history with De la Espriella dates back to childhood. Both grew up in Montería and their families maintained a close relationship that began when the far-right candidate was 15 years old and she was barely five.

Years later they met again in the Colombian capital. As De la Espriella himself has recounted in several interviews, he saw her walking near the notary office where his father worked and, after confirming with his mother that it was her, he organized a meeting days later at the offices of his law firm.
n” “nThe reunion led to a relationship that progressed quickly. After a month of formal dating, the lawyer proposed marriage and a year later they got married.
The couple has been together for more than 17 years and has four children: Lucía, Salvador, Filippo, and Francesca.
Pineda also participated in the consolidation of the law firm De La Espriella Lawyers, where he worked in areas related to quality, compliance, and personnel selection, before developing his own business projects.
