Rome, Italy.– The Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Italy and the Embassy to the Holy See celebrated a mass this Wednesday in memory of the victims of the tragic collapse that occurred on April 8th at the Jet Set nightclub, in Santo Domingo.
The Eucharist was officiated by priest Rafael Peña and was attended by Dominican ambassadors Rafael Lantigua and Víctor Suárez, who led the religious act that took place in Rome, as part of the activities that coincide with the celebration of the conclave for the election of the new Pope.
Dominicans residing in Italy also participated, as well as a delegation of pilgrims who are in the Italian capital with the image of the Virgen de la Altagracia, patron saint of the Dominican people. During the ceremony, those present expressed their solidarity with the families affected by the tragedy.

The mass became a moment of reflection and unity for the Dominican community abroad, which closely follows the process of electing the new pontiff while paying tribute to their deceased compatriots.
