Rome.- The Italian Police have arrested six young people linked to the ‘Latin Kings’ urban gang, including a Dominican, for their alleged involvement in the fatal stabbing of the young Italian of Ecuadorian origin Gianluca Ibarra Silvera on May 26 at the Milan Certosa (north) train station, local authorities reported this Monday.
The preventive detention order, coordinated by the Milan Public Prosecutor’s Office and executed in the northern provinces of Milan and Monza, affects a 19-year-old Dominican citizen and five Peruvians between the ages of 18 and 22.

All of them are considered responsible, with varying degrees of involvement, for cooperating in the homicide.
This intervention represents a breakthrough in the investigations carried out by the Investigation Unit of the Milan Police Headquarters, which had already arrested two suspects on June 5th and 9th, identified as the material authors of the stabbing.

According to the police reconstruction through the analysis of security cameras and testimonies, the organized group initially surrounded the victim, his brother, and a friend.
Subsequently, they attacked them with stones, bottles, and bladed weapons, which led to a chase along the railway tracks.
During the escape, Ibarra Silvera fell to the ground, at which point he was reached by the attackers and stabbed repeatedly until he died.
