Petro invites Trump to Colombia to show him how to combat drugs without missiles

Bogotá.- Colombian President Gustavo Petro invited his counterpart Donald Trump this Tuesday to come to the country to show him how cocaine laboratories are destroyed, after the latter warned that anyone who produces and traffics drugs to the United States “is subject to attack”. “Come to Colombia, Mr. Trump, I invite you, to participate in the destruction of the 9 daily laboratories we carry out so that cocaine does not reach the US,” Petro stated on his X account. Petro, a frequent critic of United States operations in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific against drug trafficking, in which at least 21 boats have been sunk and 82 crew members have died, added that, “without missiles”, his Government has destroyed 18,400 cocaine production laboratories.
