U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said many Americans, including academics, members of the media and former government officials, sympathize with Cuba.
Speaking in an interview with Fox News, Rubio said there are people in “academia” and the U.S. press who have supported Cuba “for a long time,” adding that such views have also existed within the U.S. government.
His remarks came as he discussed U.S. policy toward Cuba and the influence of pro-Cuba perspectives in American society.
