Trump calls for early voting in Florida and Michigan, where Republicans risk losing

The President of the United States, Donald Trump, asked citizens of Florida and Michigan this Saturday to head to the polls to vote early in the midterm elections on November 3rd.

“In-person early voting is already underway in the great state of Florida. If you have a mail-in ballot, turn it in immediately; otherwise, go vote at the polling stations right now!”, wrote the president on his Truth Social account, where he subsequently sent another identical message but referring to the state of Michigan.

Trump asked for votes for his party, the Republican, and said: “make sure everyone you know votes for the Republican candidate in every office, all the way down the ballot.”

“Whether you vote early, absentee, by mail, or in person, Republicans must overwhelm the radical left ‘Dummocrats’ (a play on words between ‘dummy’ and ‘Democrat’, commonly used by Trump in his messages) with a massive turnout! It is extremely important: please, get out and vote!” stated the president.

Trump wants mobilization of Republicans

With this message, Trump shows the need for mobilization of Republicans ahead of the November 3rd elections.

With just over a week to go before the elections, the Republican Party is facing adverse polls, some of which this week have placed them ten points behind the Democrats.

Although polls in Florida still show a Republican lead, the truth is that immigration measures and discontent over the economic situation are complicating the scenario for Republicans in a traditionally loyal state.

Michigan has become the stage for one of the great battles in the Senate, where Democrat Abdul El-Sayed is slightly leading Republican Mike Rogers.

This Saturday, former US President Barack Obama joins El Sayed at a rally in Detroit, and Trump will also hold a campaign event this Sunday in the state to try to bounce back in the polls.
