Pennsylvania State Police arrested a man after his mother was found dead on the front porch of a home in Westmoreland County on Sunday.
Pittsburgh’s Action News 4 reporter Felicity Taylor was present as State Police detectives escorted Jakob Michael Korber from the Greensburg Barracks to the Westmoreland County Prison.
Authorities responded to a home on Herminie West Newton Road in Sewickley Township after the victim’s daughter found her mother unresponsive with multiple injuries on the front porch.
The daughter told authorities there was a significant amount of blood at the scene and said she believed her brother, Korber, was responsible.
When officials arrived, the woman, identified as Christin Hamilton, was pronounced dead.

Hamilton’s daughter told investigators that Korber had been at home with her and Hamilton the previous day. She said she was unable to find her mother around 9 a.m. and searched the home before discovering her dead on the porch.
According to the criminal complaint, Hamilton’s daughter told investigators that her brother had a violent past and had recently threatened them.
Investigators collected surveillance footage that allegedly captured Korber fighting with his mother before “violently assaulting her” on the porch where she died.
After an all-day manhunt involving police officers and K9 units, Korber was seen walking down Herminie West Newton Road toward the home. He then surrendered to police and was taken into custody without incident.
