A 21-year-old woman who allegedly flaunted a luxurious lifestyle on social media was arrested in Argentina for her alleged role as the “bait” in a criminal organization that targeted men who agreed to meet with her.
Lourdes Milagros Rodríguez was arrested at her home in the María Teresa de Calcuta neighborhood of José C. Paz, in the northwestern area of Greater Buenos Aires, during an operation by the Buenos Aires Provincial Police, according to local media.
On TikTok, where she had relatively few posts, Rodríguez showcased what appeared to be an expensive lifestyle, including dinners at luxury restaurants, visits to Puerto Madero, stacks of U.S. dollars, five-star hotels, champagne bottles and a Jeep.
Authorities reportedly found that Rodríguez, who was also known online as “Eluney,” had a previous arrest warrant for alleged possession of narcotics for sale.
Alleged modus operandi
According to investigators, Rodríguez allegedly contacted victims through social media and arranged meetings at their homes. Other members of the group reportedly learned the location in advance and went there beforehand to study the property and possible escape routes.

During the encounters, Rodríguez allegedly gave her victims psychiatric drugs from the benzodiazepine family in their drinks, causing drowsiness and leaving them vulnerable. She would then allegedly contact other members of the organization, who entered the property and stole money and personal belongings.
How she was arrested
The investigation began after a man reported being robbed following a meeting with “Eluney.” Investigators analyzed security camera footage and identified the vehicle allegedly used by the woman and other members of the group.
The case is part of an investigation into the criminal method commonly known in Argentina as a “viuda negra”, in which victims are allegedly seduced or lured before being drugged and robbed.
