Fernando Tatis will be the new manager of the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna

SANTO DOMINGO.– The manager of the Estrellas Orientales, Fernando Tatis, confirmed that he will manage the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna in the upcoming season of the Mexican Baseball League, marking his first experience as a manager outside the Dominican Republic.

Happy and pleased to take on that new challenge… I’ve already given the go-ahead to our manager and we’re on our way,” Tatis said in an interview with journalist Yohana Núñez on the program Bola Rápida. Tatis announced that he is already working on putting the team together and choosing the players who could accompany him, especially those without commitments to US organizations. He also explained that he is putting together his coaching staff:

The leader revealed that the club has faced multiple losses, including:
  • Euribiel Ángeles, who will not continue with the team.
  • Miguel Sanó, who is close to returning but will not be rushed.
  • Castro, affected by back discomfort.
  • Dayron Blanco and Robinson Canó, who have also faced physical problems but are showing improvement.
