MLB 2025 Postseason Matchups Defined

SANTO DOMINGO. The wait is over: the 12 teams qualified for the postseason of Major League Baseball are already defined and with them the playoff bracket towards the 2025 World Series.

In the American League, the seeds are:

  • Tiles (East)
  • Mariners (West)
  • Guardians (Central)
  • Yankees (Wild Card)
  • Red Sox (Wild Card)
  • Tigers (Wild Card)
While in the National League will be:
  • Brewers (Central)
  • Phillies (East)
  • Dodgers (West)
  • Cubs (Wild Card)
  • Padres (Wild Card)
  • Reds (Wild Card)

Wildcard Series

In the American League, the Yankees (No. 4) will host the Red Sox (No. 5) and the Guardians (No. 3) will be at home against the Tigers (No. 6).
In the National League, the Cubs (No. 4) will face the Padres (No. 5) and the Dodgers (No. 3) will face the Reds (No. 6). Each series will be played in a best-of-three format, all at the home of the higher-seeded team, starting this Tuesday.

Road to the World Series

The Blue Jays and Mariners await rivals in the American League Division Series, while in the National League, the Brewers and Phillies will do the same. The Championship Series will be played starting October 12th and 13th, and the Fall Classic will begin on October 24th. With the stage set, the excitement is served. Twelve teams, one goal: to lift the Commissioner’s Trophy and write their name in baseball history.
