Santo Domingo. – Club San Carlos announced the integration of the Dominican Sports Immortal and former member of the national team Joel Ramírez to its coaching staff, which will be headed by coach Víctor Peña in the 2025 edition of the Superior Basketball Tournament of the National District (TBS Distrito), organized by ABADINA and scheduled to begin on September 20th.

Ramírez, an emblematic figure in Dominican basketball and a native of Villa Consuelo, will contribute his experience as an assistant. Recognized for his competitive spirit and leadership, he has over 30 championships in local basketball and seven international medals with the national team. The coaching staff is completed by the young coaches Willy Soriano and Javier de Jesús (Rookie), both with a past as players in the Superior Distrital Tournament. Meanwhile, Miguel Pichardo (Morocho) will be the statistician. Willy Soriano has been linked to the club from an early age, taking on leadership roles in recent years. In 2025, he led the women’s senior team to become district champions after more than two decades without achieving it. Javier de Jesús (Rookie) won the championship of the National Development League (LND) in 2022 with the Truenos del Distrito Nacional and has experience in various local tournaments. The team has already confirmed the hiring of Jaison Valdez and Sterling Manley as reinforcements, in addition to a solid core of native players: Juan Guerrero, Anyeuri Castillo, Eddy Polanco, Josué Salazar, Kevin Pérez, Kevin Mateo, Enmanuel Labata, Patricio Morillo, among others. To this group is added the experience and leadership of Manuel Guzmán, who returns to wear the green and yellow colors.
