Santo Domingo. Moca announces its first four foreign reinforcements for the 2026-2027 season of the Dominican Football League (LDF), a campaign in which the championship will once again be played through the Apertura and Clausura tournaments.
The Moca-based team announced the signing of three Colombian players and one Argentine to strengthen different areas of their squad under the technical direction of Jean Carlos Guell.
Among the additions is the Colombian forward Jhoaho Rivelino Hinestroza, who has experience in clubs from his country such as Once Caldas, Atlético Nacional, and América de Cali.
Joining Hinestroza is his compatriot Éder Balanta Arévalo, a defensive-minded midfielder who has been part of Atlético FC and Deportivo Pasto in Colombian soccer.
The third Colombian soccer player announced by Moca FC is central defender Kevin Saucedo, whose career includes stints with Real Monarchs in the United States; Botafogo in Brazil; Deportivo Cali, Castanhal, Jaguares FC, and the Millonarios U-20 category.

Saucedo has also been part of the Colombia U-20 National Team, according to the data provided by the club when announcing the new signings.
The list of foreign additions is completed by the Argentine midfielder Jorge Gastón Comas, a player who has belonged to Unión, Atlético Güemes, Ben Hur de Rafaela, and Círculo Deportivo Nicanor Otamendi.
Comas also has international experience with Gualberto Villarroel, from Bolivia, and is already familiar with Dominican soccer after his time with Salcedo FC in the Dominican Soccer League.
With these moves, Moca announces its first four foreign reinforcements to form the squad that will participate in a season divided once again into two championships.
2026-2027 season format
The Dominican Soccer League will feature eight teams during the 2026-2027 campaign. The schedule will be divided between the Apertura and Clausura tournaments, each with its own regular season and elimination stage.
In each tournament, the clubs will play a regular round under a round-robin system, for a total of 14 matches per team. Once that stage is completed, the four best-placed teams in the standings will advance to the semifinals.
The Apertura Tournament is scheduled from August 21 to December 6, 2026, while the Clausura Tournament will take place between January 9 and April 17, 2027.
The format ensures that each club plays at least 28 matches during the season, adding up the commitments of the regular phases of both tournaments.
According to Moca FC, the structure seeks to provide greater continuity to the Dominican professional soccer calendar during the campaign.
