Former NFL offensive lineman Jordan Devey has died at the age of 38, his family confirmed through a GoFundMe page created to support his wife and four children.
In the fundraising page, the family said Devey died on July 21 and stated that his death was by suicide.
His wife, Linsey Devey, also shared a tribute on Instagram, posting photos from their wedding and writing that the couple would have celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary. She described Devey as a devoted husband, father and the family’s hero.
Devey appeared in 44 NFL games, making 21 starts over seven seasons with five teams, including the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs, Houston Texans and Buffalo Bills.
