The notable difference in category allowed Spanish coach Luis Enrique to introduce variations in his lineup and give minutes to several young talents. Among them, the debut of the Italian goalkeeper of Brazilian origin Renato Marin, 19 years old, stood out, as well as the professional debut of the full-back David Boly, barely 16. Boly’s debut, however, did not have the expected outcome, as the young defender was forced to leave the field after 29 minutes after suffering a hard tackle. By then, PSG was already dominating the match. Désiré Doué opened the scoring in the 25th minute after taking advantage of an assist from Ousmane Dembélé. Dembélé himself extended the lead nine minutes later, by converting a penalty committed on the Portuguese striker Gonçalo Ramos. In the second half, the Parisian team maintained its offensive intensity. Ramos scored the 0-3 in the 53rd minute, after finishing a cross from the right wing by Senny Mayulu. Far from being satisfied, PSG rounded off the thrashing five minutes later, again through Ramos, who sealed the final 0-4. With this triumph, Paris Saint-Germain advances steadily in the Coupe de France and takes the first step in its goal of conquering its third consecutive title in the competition.
