The tickets, marketed through the official platform, were sold out, so the country’s main sports stadium will welcome thousands of spectators for the start of the region’s biggest sporting celebration.
The organizers reported that the stadium gates will be open from 4:00 PM, with the goal of facilitating public access and ensuring an orderly entry before the start of the show.
Those who were unable to purchase tickets will be able to follow the opening ceremony through the live broadcast on a wide national television network and various digital platforms.
The ceremony will mark the official start of the Central American and Caribbean Games Santo Domingo 2026, which will be held from July 24 to August 8, with the participation of more than 6,000 athletes from 37 countries and territories, who will compete in 40 sports and 53 disciplines.
The inaugural show will combine artistic, cultural, and technological elements to welcome the participating delegations and celebrate the centenary of the Central American and Caribbean Games.
