Her inspiration stems from pride in her roots. She has paid homage to Dominican icons and symbols, such as Maria Montez, the hibiscus flower, the faceless doll, and typical merengue. Her next collection, inspired by the flamboyant tree, will be presented at New York Fashion Week, reaffirming her commitment to bringing Dominican culture to global fashion. At RD Fashion Week 2024, “Armadura” surprised, a collection based on 18th-century corsetry reinterpreted with lightness, transparency, and modernity. Its objective: to demonstrate that today’s corset can be comfortable, wearable, and elegant without sacrificing well-being.
