Editorial.- Thousands of users in different parts of the world reported failures this Friday in Instagram and Facebook services, platforms that are experiencing problems in both their mobile applications and their web versions.
According to reports, the content is not loading correctly and the error message “something went wrong” appears on both social networks, preventing many users from accessing their accounts normally.

In the case of Instagram, some users are unable to log in, while those who already have access find the feed empty, with no posts, reels, or stories available. Likewise, the explore section is having difficulty displaying content.
Facebook is experiencing similar issues. The news feed is not loading, stories appear blank, and the login system is returning error messages. Even users who manage to access the platform report difficulties interacting with posts and other content.
According to the specialized outage monitoring portal Downdetector, countries such as Colombia, Argentina, Mexico, and Spain have experienced a significant increase in failure reports, which points to an international impact.
The interruption impacts both users connected via mobile networks and those using wifi connections.
So far, Meta, the company that owns Instagram and Facebook, has not issued an official statement explaining the causes of the outage, nor has it reported when services might be fully restored.
The situation continues to be monitored as millions of users await an official response regarding the origin of the outage.
