Quick intervention by firefighters prevented major losses Santo Domingo.- The fire recorded this Monday morning on the second floor of the Emiliday IV Tower in the Bella Vista sector was apparently caused by the electrical connections of a Christmas tree, reported the administrator of the condominium Romialba Guerrero. The affected apartment is inhabited by an elderly couple who were fortunately unharmed thanks to the rapid intervention of three units of the National District Fire Department.

According to the data, they are working on the corresponding investigations to determine exactly under what circumstances the event occurred. Guerrero indicated that the apartment on the third floor was also affected. In that sense, the construction company Manzueta, which built the condominium, contacted them to send a structural engineer to certify the magnitude of the damage caused by the incident. In the place, the atmosphere remains calm and the administration, as a preventive measure, has closed the gas service and disconnected the electrical power to the affected apartment.
