Santiago.– The Commanding General of the Dominican Republic Army, Major General Jorge Iván Camino Pérez, handed over the military detachment of the El Rubio municipal district, in the San José de las Matas municipality, Santiago province, this Tuesday, after completing a renovation process aimed at improving the living and working conditions of the personnel stationed in that area.

The intervention included the rehabilitation of the accommodation, kitchen, dining, and bathroom areas, in addition to general painting work and the repair of electrical and plumbing installations, with the goal of offering a safer, more functional, and suitable space for the fulfillment of military duties.
