Dajabón. – Members of the Dominican Republic Army (ERD) detained 99 Haitian nationals in an irregular migratory status during an immigration interdiction operation carried out in different neighborhoods and sectors of the head municipality of Dajabón province, as part of the control and surveillance actions in the border zone.
According to the official report, among those detained are 67 men, 15 women, and 17 minors, who were located during patrols carried out by military units in different sectors of the demarcation.

After concluding the operation, the foreigners were handed over to the General Directorate of Migration (DGM) for the corresponding procedures, in accordance with the provisions of current migration legislation.
These actions are part of the permanent operations carried out by the Army, through the G-2 Intelligence Directorate and its operational units, in support of migration control and border security policies, with the purpose of strengthening surveillance and contributing to the enforcement of national laws.
