The Southern Bangkok Municipal Court issued an arrest warrant for transgender businesswoman Jakkaphong “Anne” Jakrajutatip, 46, after she failed to appear at the hearing where the sentence for a case of alleged fraud was to be heard. The measure, confirmed by the Bangkok South Kwaeng court, corresponds to a criminal process in which the co-owner of Miss Universe also faces charges related to the sale of corporate bonds of JKN Global Group Public Company Limited, a company founded by her. According to court documents, Jakrajutatip and her company are accused of allegedly concealing JKN’s true financial situation from investor Raweewat Maschamadol to motivate him to acquire bonds worth 30 million Thai baht — equivalent to about 880 thousand dollars— between 2022 and 2023.
