Santo Domingo.- The spokesperson for the National Police, Diego Pesqueira, reported that the preliminary results of the autopsies performed on Lucinda Emelinda Rodríguez Restituyo and her son, Óscar Gabriel Curiel Rodríguez, 41, indicate that, so far, no signs of violence have been found on the bodies.
Pesqueira explained that mother and son were found lifeless next to their dog and that investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances of the event.
“We are practically in the same situation. We are awaiting the results. Regarding the autopsy being performed on both bodies, we have preliminarily received a report, not yet official, which states that they show no signs of violence so far,” the police spokesperson stated.
He added that the authorities are still awaiting the official report from the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (Inacif), which will allow for the unequivocal determination of the cause of death for both individuals.

The spokesperson indicated that the investigation remains open and that any definitive conclusion will depend on the official results of the autopsies and the other proceedings being carried out by the corresponding agencies.
