Colombia.- From August 29 to September 6, 2026, Bogotá will be the setting for Wellness Week: Culture and Health for Better Living, an initiative that will bring together more than 90 experts, leaders, and facilitators from 16 countries with the purpose of positioning culture, art, and movement as fundamental tools to promote comprehensive well-being and mental health.
For the first time, the city will integrate three initiatives of local and international scope into a single agenda: the Bogotá Mayor’s Office wellness programs, the Hearth Summit Bogotá, and the Vive + y Mejor International Longevity Meeting. For nine days, citizens will be able to participate for free in more than 100 activities, including workshops, conferences, panels, movement experiences, meditations, walks, and a fair for entrepreneurship focused on wellness.
The programming will take place mainly at the Centro Felicidad Chapinero, with activities in other iconic venues such as the Botanical Garden, the Bogotá Planetarium, the La Santamaría Cultural Plaza, and the Universidad de La Salle. All activities will revolve around the eight internationally recognized dimensions of well-being: physical, emotional, cognitive, social, spiritual, environmental, occupational, and financial.
The Wellness Week was born in a context where Bogotá is facing significant challenges regarding mental health. According to recent studies, a significant portion of the population has experienced anxiety, depression, loneliness, or emotional distress, while the majority of people have never consulted specialized mental health services.

“With Bogotá Wellness Week, we aspire to continue innovating in health promotion and prevention, strengthening the body, mind, emotions, and social bonds, and consolidating Bogotá as a city that understands culture as a bridge to improve people’s quality of life,” highlighted the District Secretariat of Culture, Recreation and Sport.
The meeting will also have a component oriented towards economic development, through a fair that will bring together ventures and organizations dedicated to creating products, services, and methodologies for integral well-being.
The initiative seeks to connect the potential of Bogotá’s cultural and creative economy with the growth of the global wellness industry.
With this commitment, the Colombian capital strengthens its leadership in the construction of public policies that integrate culture, health, and social development, promoting international alliances and innovation spaces to respond to the challenges of well-being in contemporary cities.
