Santo Domingo.– High temperatures continue to mark the day-to-day life of Dominicans, which is why De Último Minuto took to the streets to ask citizens how they are coping with the intense heat that has been felt in recent days.

During a tour of different parts of the capital, the majority of those consulted agreed that staying hydrated is the main measure to withstand the high temperatures.

Others stated that they seek to stay in places with air conditioning or good ventilation, while some prefer to wear light clothing and avoid exposure to the sun during the hours of greatest intensity.

Some citizens also stated that they consume natural juices, coconut water, and fresh fruits to cool off, while those who must work outdoors stated that they take frequent breaks to avoid heatstroke.
