CONADIS strengthens inclusion in El Seibo with a successful social impact day

El Seibo. – The National Council for Disability (CONADIS) held a successful Social Inclusion Day in the province of El Seybo, with the aim of bringing essential services closer and promoting the integral well-being of people with disabilities and their families. During the day, orientation, assessment, and registration services for disabilities were offered, as well as the delivery of support devices and social assistance, reaffirming the institutional commitment to guarantee rights, accessibility, and equal opportunities. In addition, consultations were offered in general medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, dentistry, ophthalmology, and free delivery of medications. The welcome remarks were delivered by the provincial governor, Magaly Tabar de Goico, who valued this day as a space of hope, commitment, and joint action, reaffirming the willingness to continue working hand in hand with the National Council on Disability to promote a more just, inclusive, and supportive society. Likewise, the president of CONADIS, Benny Metz, highlighted that this initiative is part of the decentralization policy of the services promoted by the institution.

“Our mission is to reach every corner of the country to ensure that people with disabilities receive dignified, timely, and quality care. These days are a clear example that we work to build a more inclusive and supportive society,” he expressed.

On his part, the executive director of CONADIS, Alexis Alcantara, stated that the day represents an inter-institutional effort aimed at directly impacting the most vulnerable population. “We are committed to strengthening the registration and assessment of disability, as well as facilitating support devices that significantly improve the quality of life of the beneficiaries,” he affirmed.

Meanwhile, the senator from the province of El Seybo, Santiago José Zorrilla, expressed his support for the social inclusion day “CONADIS for Everyone”, highlighting the positive impact that these actions generate in the most vulnerable communities. The legislator valued the institutional effort of the National Council on Disability by bringing health services, guidance and direct support to people with disabilities, and reiterated his commitment to continue promoting initiatives from Congress that strengthen inclusion.

This initiative was supported by the municipal mayor of El Seybo, Leo Francis Zorrilla Ramos; the Provincial Government of El Seibo, the Senatorial Management Office, SENASA, the Single Beneficiary System (SIUBEN) and the National Council for Children and Adolescents (CONANI). Also, allied entities such as Comedores Económicos, Supérate, the Special Education Department of the Ministry of Education, and the National Council for the Elderly (CONAPE), among other institutions committed to inclusion and social protection, participated. With this Social Inclusion day, CONADIS reaffirms its commitment to continue implementing concrete actions that contribute to the integral development of people with disabilities, strengthening the articulation with local authorities and community actors in each province of the country.
