Santo Domingo, DN. – The National District City Hall reported that it continues with preventive cleaning work on filters and storm drains, as part of the actions to keep the drainage system clear in anticipation of the rains forecasted due to the incidence of a trough.
The operations, directed under the guidance of Mayor Carolina Mejía, include the intervention of brigades in different sectors of the capital, especially in areas identified as vulnerable to water accumulation.
For these tasks, the city council keeps specialized equipment on the streets, including suction trucks, as well as personnel dedicated to sweeping and cleaning gutters, with the aim of reducing potential issues during rainfall.
