The Central Bank of the Dominican Republic published the reference prices for the purchase and sale of the dollar for this Tuesday, August 4, as follows:
At the close of the day, financial institutions set the dollar purchase rate at RD$ 56.86, while the selling rate stood at RD$ 59.60.
Variation indicators show solid performance for the local currency:
Compared to July 31, 2026, the peso recorded an appreciation of 0.11% in the purchase rate. Compared to the rate from a month ago (RD$ 57.69), the appreciation is 1.45%.
In the Remittance and Exchange Agents sector, the counter rate for purchase was RD$ 58.01 and for sale was RD$ 59.03.
Although a slight daily depreciation was observed in this segment compared to July 31st (0.20% in the purchase price), the long-term trend follows the line of the peso’s strengthening.
