Puerto Rico. – The acclaimed artist Guaynaa presented this Thursday with a concert his new album “Guaynaa en P.R. (LIVE)”, a production with which “he returns to where it all began” and in which he relives his successful concert in Puerto Rico, last October 12th. “From my beloved Borinquen, I want to share something more than music: a mix of roots, flavor, and authenticity. My grandfather was a troubadour, my dad sang among friends. Continuously, salsa and trova were in the background at every gathering. It’s time to generate a change, to plant a seed, and to build something that will endure in the heart and consciousness of my people,” said the singer. Guaynaa asked his fans to put together a cheese board, serve the wine, have a good conversation and join him at the premiere, in a night of rhythm, flavor and family. “Let the music play, let the laughter be heard and let this moment feel like home,” he said about the album release.

“Let’s make a toast to transformations: to what we are, to what we were, and to what we are going to become,” he added. The album contains eleven tracks: “Domesticated Wolf”, “Everybody Dancing”, “Ideal Girl”, “Come devour me again” (with Tito Nieves), “Dos Gardenias”, “Caramelito”, “Homenaje a Tito Rojas”, “Until today’s sun” (with Farruko), “The essence of the guaguancó” (with Norberto Vélez), “What the gypsy said” and “Los Cachos”. In this installment, the surprising collaboration on the successful cover “Ven devórame otra vez” (Come devour me again), which Guaynaa released in 2024, stands out, and which he performed in Puerto Rico with Tito Nieves, another of the great guests of the event. Guaynaa has embarked on a series with great classics of the tropical genre, in his new EP “LA COVERTURA” to honor and keep alive the essence of iconic works. Among others, he has paid tribute to Edgar Joel, Anthony Colón and Ismael Rivera. With these versions, the artist demonstrates their versatility and commitment to the cultural richness of Latin music. Jean Carlos Santiago Pérez (Guaynaa) is a prominent Puerto Rican singer, songwriter, and rapper, recognized for bringing freshness and humor to Latin urban music. He rose to international fame with his 2018 viral hit “Rebota”, which entered the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart in 2019. Since then, he has continued to evolve his sound, now as an independent artist. With his charismatic style and energetic performances, Guaynaa has become one of the most distinctive voices in the tropical scene, with absolute mastery of both salsa and cumbia, in pieces that are particularly demanding when it comes to performing them.
