Halle Berry, sued by her ex-partner, Olivier Martinez, for attempting to suffocate her 12-year-old son

Agencies.- American actress Halle Berry has been sued by her ex-partner, fellow actor Olivier Martinez, for physically abusing their son, 12-year-old Maceo.
According to court documents, Martinez requested a temporary restraining order against the mother of his child and also sought sole custody.
The Frenchman referred to an alleged episode in which Halle Berry reportedly grabbed her son by the neck and tried to strangle him after an argument because the boy was playing with virtual reality glasses.
At that moment, and as indicated in the documents presented to the court, he allegedly told the little one that he looked “very stupid” and that he was “an idiot”

“The situation escalated and the plaintiff lunged at our son and began physically struggling with him,” the documents add, subsequently noting that at that moment the actress allegedly grabbed her son “by the throat” while shouting at him: “Who is in control now? Who is in control now?”
Afterwards, Maceo would call his father to come pick him up, and according to Olivier Martinez, the young boy does not want to return to his mother because he is allegedly “traumatized” by what happened, with Van Hunt, Halle Berry‘s partner, having been present during the fight.
Furthermore, the Frenchman accuses his ex-wife of consuming alcohol in excess, which in his opinion “has contributed to her abusive behavior.”

Mind you, according to Olivier Martinez, this is not an isolated incident, as in the “last year and a half,” she has allegedly “struggled with Maceo until knocking him to the ground.” “These other incidents include additional physical assaults against our son, as well as verbal and emotional abuse by the plaintiff toward me.”
Halle Berry’s response
For her part, Halle Berry responded to these accusations by denying everything: “To say that this lawsuit is completely meritless and deliberately misleading would be an understatement. There is abundant evidence, including numerous court rulings, that Olivier Martinez repeatedly violated court orders and interfered with necessary therapeutic and educational interventions to the detriment of Maceo, the minor son of him and Halle Berry, misconduct for which Mr. Martinez has already been legally sanctioned,” stated the actress’s lawyer, Marina Beck, in a statement sent to ‘Hello!’.
