Santo Domingo.– The Institute of Aid (INAVI) commemorated this Monday the 65th anniversary of its founding with a thanksgiving mass at the Primate Cathedral of America, where it highlighted the progress achieved in efficiency, transparency, institutional modernization, and the expansion of social services during the current administration.
The mass was presided over by Monsignor Carlos Tomás Morel Diplán, Coadjutor Archbishop of the Archdiocese of Santo Domingo, and was attended by the General Administrator of INAVI, Dr. Elsido Díaz Bueno, along with officials, collaborators, and special guests, including Maritza López de Ortiz, Administrative President of IDECOOP, and Michelle Ortiz, Deputy to the Central American Parliament (Parlacen).
During the commemoration, the institution highlighted that, in one year and five months of management, millions of pesos have been returned to former public servants for severance pay, life insurance, disability, and funeral insurance claims.

Likewise, he reported that the implementation of a new organizational structure allowed for reaching 100% of the goals regarding Free Access to Public Information, in addition to obtaining high ratings in the transparency processes evaluated by the Ministry of Public Administration (MAP).
INAVI also highlighted its participation in social inclusion programs such as “El Gobierno Contigo” (The Government With You) and “Primero Tú” (You First), through which it has brought assistance and solutions to communities in different provinces of the country.

Another of the achievements noted was the signing of inter-institutional agreements to expand funeral insurance coverage to public servants and private sector employees, allowing them to access the network of funeral homes that the institution operates in different locations.
As part of the celebration, prior to the Eucharist, the authorities held a flag-raising ceremony for the National Flag at the INAVI headquarters, located in the Gascue sector of the National District.
