International Women in Mining Day: promoting equality and female leadership in the sector

Every June 15th, the International Day of Women in Mining is commemorated, a date dedicated to recognizing the contribution of women in an industry historically dominated by men and to promoting greater female participation at all levels of the mining sector.

The event seeks to make visible the role of women in technical, operational, scientific, administrative, and leadership areas, in addition to promoting policies that guarantee equal opportunities, inclusion, and professional development within mining.
