San Cristóbal.- The massive logging of trees recorded in the vicinity of the 6 de Noviembre highway, before and after the toll that connects to the province of San Cristóbal, has generated concern and indignation among citizens who travel along the aforementioned road.
During a tour of the area, it was possible to confirm the removal of dozens of trees on both sides of the road, a scene that has caught the attention of drivers and residents who regularly travel through the place.
Images of the intervention have begun to circulate widely on social media, where users have expressed their rejection of the disappearance of an important green area and have requested explanations from the competent authorities.

A source from the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources confirmed that the institution is aware of the situation and is currently conducting an investigation to determine the circumstances under which the logging occurred.
So far, the authorities have not established whether the intervened lands belong to the State or to private owners, nor if the corresponding environmental permits existed to carry out the work.
