La Altagracia.- José Martín Popa, driver of the Association of Public Transportation Owners of La Altagracia (APTPRA) lost his life after a traffic accident that occurred on the Coral Highway, near the entrance to the Cuyá batey.
The accident where the driver of the 07 bus on the Santo Domingo–Higüey route lost his life occurred when the bus he was driving collided with a flatbed truck loaded with beer.
Popa died at the scene
of the incident due to the traumas received. While the collector identified as Kelvin Paredes, who only suffered injuries and is stable, is receiving medical attention at the HGENSA hospital in Altagracia.
Emergency units and traffic agents arrived at the scene, who initiated investigations to determine the causes of the accident.
