The information began to circulate when Mandy Fridmann detailed on her social media that Mauro, the actress’s firstborn, had allegedly passed away, which generated concern and reactions on social media. Likewise, she detailed that the actress is reportedly devastated.

In the note published in Las Top News, Fridmann stressed that sources had informed him that Mauro was in delicate health.

“The young man was suffering from pneumonia and his mother had reportedly asked him not to travel, to take care of himself. However, he went anyway. Late last night, Mujica received a call with the news that no mother wants to hear: her son had passed away. Although there are no further details, everything indicates that he suffered a heart attack,” she wrote.

The journalist also detailed that Aylín would be arriving in Barbados to identify the body and begin the necessary procedures to transport it to Barbados, the place where the entire family is located.

At the moment, Aylín Mujica has not made any related posts on her official profiles. The case remains unconfirmed and the only version available comes from Mandy’s initial report.

In Sale el Sol, Ana María Alvarado reported that she tried to get in touch with the artist, however, she has not received a response so far.

“I wrote to him, he does receive the messages, but I understand that the least important thing is to answer me; in case it were true, I wanted to have confirmation from someone in the family, no one has answered me,” he stated.

During the broadcast of En Casa with Telemundo, the show’s hosts confirmed Mauro’s passing and extended a message to the public.

Telemundo extends its deepest condolences to Aylín Mujica and her family during this painful and difficult time following the passing of her beloved son. Aylín is a cherished member of our Telemundo family, and we are with her at this time with all our love, support, and prayers,” they stated.

Likewise, the presenters asked that the family’s privacy be respected during this period.

“We must remember that Aylín was, right?, working, uh, on the Top Chef VIP project, as had already been announced, and she received the news, well, at that very moment, guys.”

Host Matilde Obregón issued a brief message through her Facebook account lamenting the passing.

“Our deepest condolences to the Cuban actress Aylin Mujica on the passing of her son Mauro Méndez, who was 30 years old. Aylin was filming Top Chef VIP in Colombia when she received the sad news. The actress had Mauro when she was 19 years old with her first husband Osamu, who is a musician by profession,” she highlighted.
