Newborn found abandoned inside a case on the Jarabacoa–Constanza highway

Jarabacoa.– A newborn baby was found abandoned inside a plastic bag on a stretch of road connecting the municipalities of Jarabacoa and Constanza, in an event that has generated consternation in the area. The discovery occurred in the community of La Pocilga, in the place called Paso Bajito, when passersby heard the infant’s cry and approached the place, finding the baby on the ground still with signs of life. Immediately, the people who found her notified the authorities, achieving her timely rescue. The minor was transferred to the Octavia Gautier de Vidal Municipal Hospital in Jarabacoa, where she is receiving medical attention and remains under observation.
