Santo Domingo.- The senator for the National District, Omar Fernández, highlighted the enthusiasm and anticipation being felt in the Dominican Republic ahead of the inauguration of the Santo Domingo 2026 Central American and Caribbean Games, a sporting event that, as he stated, will bring great excitement to the Dominican people over the coming weeks.
Fernández appreciated the large turnout of citizens who have been gathering since early hours in the surroundings of the Félix Sánchez Olympic Stadium to enjoy the opening ceremony and support the development of this regional competition.
“I believe the entire Dominican people are very expectant, very happy with what is about to happen. The line is incredible and people are enjoying this inauguration and the coming weeks that will bring much happiness to this people,” the legislator expressed.
