Police arrest Haitian citizen accused of causing the death of his partner and son in Santiago

Santiago. – The National Police arrested a Haitian citizen accused of taking the life of his sentimental partner and his son, in an event that occurred in the municipal district of Santiago Oeste (Cienfuegos). The detainee was identified as Lakan Donation, 53 years old, who allegedly caused the death of Dadu Chalisier, 36 years old, and his son Likanson Donation, 2 years old, both of Haitian nationality. The incident was recorded in a residence located on Canal Street, Ingenio Abajo sector, near the Flea Market. According to the preliminary report, the bodies were collected by the relevant authorities, who certified severe traumatic brain injury as the cause of death in both cases.

Investigations indicate that the alleged aggressor was found at the scene next to the lifeless bodies, and was immediately arrested. According to preliminary reports, the detainee had presented a depressive state, after having recently been deprived of liberty for a previous case. Members of the Scientific Police arrived at the scene and collected evidence, including a blunt object allegedly used in the incident. The bodies were transferred to the National Institute of Forensic Sciences (INACIF) for the corresponding legal purposes, while the case continues under investigation for its subsequent submission to the Public Ministry.
