Santiago as a Strategic Scenario
For his part, the municipal president of the PRM in Santiago, Andrés Cueto, explained that the choice of this city as the venue responds, according to what he affirmed, to the economic growth and urban transformation it has experienced in recent years. “Santiago today is a transformed city, with new hotels, shopping malls and visible economic growth. It is in the eye of the world,” he said. Cueto indicated that buses and delegations coming from other provinces will use the parking lots of the Cibao Stadium, while local attendees can park around Enriquillo and J. Armando Bermúdez avenues. He also assured that during the current administration, more than 25 billion pesos have been invested in the province, a figure that, according to him, demonstrates President Abinader’s support for Santiago.Call for party unity
Senator for Santiago, Daniel Rivera, urged lawmakers and national leaders to participate in the activity, which he defined as a space for unity. “It’s a great gathering where senators, deputies, and national leaders will be celebrating the party’s growth and strengthening,” he stated. Meanwhile, leader Sonia Guzmán indicated that the event will be marked by messages of optimism and future projection. “It will be an activity that reflects the development and transformation that the Dominican Republic is experiencing under the president’s management,” he indicated. Broad leadership representation In the press conference where the details were offered, the former ambassador to Washington Sonia Guzmán, the mayor of Puñal, Enrique Romero, Federico Reynoso, municipal secretary general, Lucindo Gómez, provincial vice president, and Senator Daniel Rivera also participated. Also in attendance were Eddy Ortega, Director of Operations; Alexis Sosa, president of a sectoral front; mayors Eddy Báez (Navarrete) and Raisa Vázquez (Las Palomas); representatives from Santiago Oeste; as well as leaders such as Iván Hernández, Bernardo Hilario (Health Front), Miguel Ortega and Fidel Díaz (Provincial Youth), among other leaders from different sectors of the party. With this act, the PRM seeks to commemorate more than a decade since its founding and project internal cohesion in a scenario that will bring together thousands of supporters in Santiago.
