Tomorrow, the work agenda will continue on 27 de Febrero with Tiradentes.
Santo Domingo.- The Ministry of Public Works and Communications (MOPC) informs that starting at 9:00 p.m. and until 5:00 a.m. this Tuesday 18th and Wednesday 19th, a scheduled intervention will be carried out on a section of the express road at Kilometer 9, in the Cibao–Santo Domingo direction (West–East).
The purpose of the closure is to continue with the improvement and asphalting work on that important and strategic road, which connects the Dominican capital with Santiago and the entire Cibao region.
To ensure a more organized transit during the execution of the works, the MOPC will have the support of agents from the General Directorate of Traffic and Ground Transportation Safety (DIGESETT) and technical personnel from the National Institute of Traffic and Ground Transportation (INTRANT).
Also, the institution informs that this Wednesday, the 19th, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., a nighttime intervention will be carried out on the overpass of 27 de Febrero Avenue with Tiradentes, aimed at the maintenance and reinforcement of the structure.
With the purpose of minimizing any impact during peak hours, both works have been scheduled exclusively for nighttime and will be carried out in a staggered manner until their total completion.
The MOPC urges drivers and citizens to collaborate with these technical sessions, whose purpose is to strengthen the safety and quality of the Dominican Republic’s road system.
