DUM Editorial.- Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland and Zendaya, reached US$1 billion at the global box office just six days after its release, becoming the second fastest film to achieve this figure.
The Marvel film is only surpassed by Avengers: Endgame, which in 2019 managed to exceed US$1 billion during its first five days of release, with an initial gross of approximately US$1.2 billion globally.
According to box office data cited by Box Office Mojo, Spider-Man: Brand New Day has accumulated around US$407 million in the United States and US$646.8 million in international markets.
Another record for Spider-Man
The success of the new Spider-Man installment is not limited to its speed in reaching US$1 billion. The film also managed to become the biggest opening weekend in the history of the US box office, with US$360 million, surpassing the record that until then belonged to Avengers: Endgame.
