Santo Domingo. – Former Minister of Economy, Temístocles Montás, vice president of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) attributes the economic slowdown in the current situation to internal factors.
With this statement, Montás disassociates the reduction in economic growth in the Dominican Republic from the increasingly uncertain international environment.
“Therefore, the economic slowdown of 2025 responds to a greater extent to internal conditions, although it develops in an increasingly uncertain international environment. Faced with this, economic policy must focus on reviving capital formation, preserving public investment, reinforcing confidence and advancing in productive and export diversification” writes in the weekly work published by the newspapers Hoy and Vanguardia del Pueblo.
