Santo Domingo.– The National Police reported this Thursday that a migration alert has been issued against Emanuel Hernández, known as “El Barbero”, who is wanted for his alleged connection to the death of a woman after undergoing an aesthetic procedure in Santo Domingo Este.
The institution’s spokesperson, Diego Pesqueira, explained that the measure aims to prevent the person under investigation from leaving the country while efforts continue to locate him and place him at the disposal of the Public Prosecutor’s Office.
As indicated, investigators are working on several lines of inquiry to clarify the case and, at the same time, are verifying Hernández’s employment history, after it became known that he previously worked as a hairdresser.
The authorities are also seeking to determine if the man possessed the required licenses, permits, and credentials to perform aesthetic procedures, as that information has not yet been confirmed.
The investigation originated following the death of Rebeca Brizard, a 28-year-old Haitian citizen, who passed away after undergoing a procedure at an establishment located in the Alma Rosa I sector, in Santo Domingo East.

The case was reported by the victim’s relatives, which initiated the investigations led by the National Police and the Public Prosecutor’s Office to establish the circumstances of the incident.
The law enforcement institution urged Emanuel Hernández to turn himself in through the means he considers appropriate and reiterated that investigations are ongoing to determine the corresponding responsibilities.
